Khalid Hafeez Rindhawa, the Chief Secretary Punjab acknowledged the need of raising the standard of facilities at different cricket stadiums in Pakistan.
The expressed these views at the outset of PCB-Punjab Government meeting held at the Chief Secretary office in Lahore on Thursday. He also lauded the efforts put in by the PCB in upgrading various facilities at the different cricket stadiums.
The PCB spokesmen said the Board has undertaken the gigantic task of installing floodlights at Karachi and Pindi Stadium and also reply screens and electronic scoreboards at Karachi, Lahore and Pindi respectively.
The PCB had also under taken the necessary measures to improve the facilities for crowd. In this connection, the PCB is installing new chairs at Karachi, Lahore and Pindi respectively with particular reference to Pindi cricket stadium, the spokesmen said.
The work to install the floodlights at the stadium had already commenced and in a few days the light masts would be transported from Karachi to Rawalpindi.
Necessary survey to install the electronic scoreboard had also been completed. However, unfortunately final decision about the Pindi Stadium taking over by the PCB could not be taken in the meeting.
