TNCA to constitute match management committee

An emergency meeting of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association Executive Committee was convened on Saturday to constitute a match management committee, fix the rates of the tickets and also approve the budget in case the second Test match between India Pakistan, scheduled to be played from Feb 4. is held in Chennai.
According to Mr. Ashok Kumbhat, Secretary, TNCA, there was also representation of Reuben Paul requesting the President to reconsider the decision of the Executive Committee on Dec. 12 in which he was banned for the current Ranji Trophy season with regard to the pitch-tampering incident.
"The Committee has decided that in case Reuben Paul tenders an apology letter, the ban will be restricted to Dec. 31, 1998," Mr. Kumbhat said.
