Tucker's ton sends Wanderers into Sunday Cup final
Wanderers march into the Sunday Cup on the back of another Darren Tucker century.

2006-07 HKCA Saturday Cup (Twenty20 Format)
Three semi-final matches were played in the Saturday Cup (Twenty20 format) in overcast conditions on 28th April 2007.
At Hong Kong Cricket Club, Witherers securd a place in the last four after whipping Aryans by 130 runs. Witherers batted first in the match and racked up an impressive 243-3 from their 20 overs with Mark Fuzes thrashing an unbeaten 134 while Hugo Davison belted 82. In reply, Aryans could only muster 113 with Sean Robson claiming 4-34 while Richard Norris picked up 3-15.
2006-07 Saturday League champions LSW Warriors also booked a semi-final spot after beating Gap Ramblers by 35 runs at Po Kong Village Road. Munir Dar (60) was the top scorer for LSW Warriors as they posted a total of 172-6 from their 20 overs. Gittens replied with 47 but Gap Ramblers were dismissed for just 137 as Zain Abbas and Ilyas Gull claimed three wickets apiece.
Laguna Gully booked the final semi-final place as they beat Kai Tak by 8 wickets at Mission Road. Kai Tak posted a competitive 178-8 off their 20 overs with Malcolm Brown (36), Stephen Campbell (32) and Tiku Patidar (49) all making useful contributions. For Laguna Gully, Siddarth Vallath claimed 4-39 from his four over spell. The Laguna Gully batsmen made light work of the run chase, racing to 181 for the loss of just two wickets. Ravi Desai top scored with 71 while Virendra Dhir scored an ubeaten 50 and A Desai scored 39 not out.
The Saturday Cup semi-final match-ups see LSW Warriors take on Crusaders at KCC while Witherers face Laguna Gully at Mission Road.

The Sunday Cup semi-final matches were played in overcast conditions on 29th April 2007, with Wanderers facing Vagabonds at HKCC and LSW taking on Pakistan Association at Mission Road.
Darren Tucker scored a brilliant unbeaten 181 in front of his home fans at Hong Kong Cricket Club as Wanderers beat Vagabonds by 50 runs to secure their place in next week's Sunday Cup final. Tucker's assault on the Vagaonds bowling allowed Wanderers to post an imposing 338-4 from their 50 overs. Tucker received good support from Kenny Thiedeman, who scored 66, and Matt Thwaites, who blasted a brisk 49. Vagabonds made a decent fist of their reply with Prashant scoring an even 100. But the huge total proved too much for Vagabonds to overhaul and they were dismissed in the 45th over still 50 runs short of their target. Imran Idress took the bowling honours for Wanderers with 4 wickets.
At Mission Road, a tight battle saw Pakistan Association overcome Little Sai Wan by 21 runs. Pakistan Association batted first and were dismissed for 208 with Ilyas Gull (74), Najeeb Aamer (30) and Rafaqat Ali (41) contributing the bulk of the runs. Munir Dar claimed 4-55 for Little Sai Wan from his ten over spell. In reply, Nadeem Ahmed top scored with 51 while Munir Dar scored 36 as Little Sai Wan were dismisssed for 187. Najeeb Aamer was the chief destroyer, claiming 5-20 while picked up Butt Hussain 3-65.
Pakistan Association's victory earns them a place in the Sunday Cup final against Wanderers at Kowloon Cricket Club on 6th May 2007.

2006-07 HKCA Skitz Sports Bar Women's Cricket Cup
Two qualifying matches were played in the Women's Knock-out Cup competition on 28th April. The matches were played back-to-back on the Po Kong Villiage Number 1 ground.
In the early match starting at 9AM, KCC Maidens overcame HKCC Cavaliers by seven wickets. Cavaliers batted first but could only muster a total of 91 with Sarah Eames claiming 3-9. In reply, Jessica Park scored an unbeaten 20 as KCC Maidens eased to 92 for the loss of just three wickets.
In the second match, LSW beat Sri Lanka Club by 10 runs. Batting first, Shaminda scored 57 and Keenu hit 42 as LSW posted a total of 163 all out. In reply, Sri Lanka Club came close to causing an upset but they finished on 153-6, just 11 runs short of their victory target. Udeni was the best of the SLC batters, scoring 36.
The semi-final match-ups see KCC Maidens face HKCC Willow Wielders in the first match starting at 9AM while LSW will take on Lamma in the second match starting at 1:30PM. Both games will be played on the PKVR1 ground.
