Victoria's constantly changing bowling stocks have been altered again with Peter Siddle and Grant Lindsay recalled to the one-day squad for Saturday's match against Tasmania at Hobart. The Bushrangers have opted to strengthen their attack with the pair replacing the batsmen Brad Hodge and Aaron Finch in the 12-man line-up.
Both sides are still in with a chance of reaching the Ford Ranger Cup final and a win for Victoria would ensure they host Queensland for the title. But victory for Tasmania, followed by another win in their last match against South Australia next Wednesday could mean the Tigers reach the final - if they can pick up a bonus point in either game.
Siddle, one of Victoria's contracted fast bowlers, has not played for his state this season having been out of action with a shoulder injury. "I'm really excited to be back in the mix," he said.
"It's been a slow and sometimes frustrating journey back from injury, but I'm feeling really strong and hopefully I can do the job for the Bushrangers if I get an opportunity." Tasmania have made no changes to their 12-man squad.
Tasmania squad Michael Di Venuto, Tim Paine (wk), Michael Dighton, George Bailey, Dane Anderson, Travis Birt, Dan Marsh (capt), Damien Wright, Luke Butterworth, Xavier Doherty, Brendan Drew, Ben Hilfenhaus.
Victoria squad Michael Klinger, Aiden Blizzard, Rob Quiney, David Hussey (capt), Jon Moss, Andrew McDonald, Adam Crosthwaite (wk), Grant Lindsay, Shane Harwood, Mick Lewis, Peter Siddle, Darren Pattinson.
