Warwickshire names Academy squad

Warwickshire County Cricket Club has announced its Academy squad for the 2006 season.

Mark Lewis, Bhavik Patel, Chris Cheslin, Richard Johnson, Chris Woakes and James Ord have been retained from 2005.

The new recruits are Paul Best who is a promising all-rounder; Lee Hopkins, a right handed batsman; Casper Ngoma, a right-arm fast bowler, and Tom Lewis, who is the brother of the former mentioned Mark and a left-handed batsman.

Mark Greatbatch, the director of coaching, is excited about the new talent coming into the club. "We are looking forward to working with these players who have good talent, good attitude and good character."
