Yasir Shah has been named in a case concerning the alleged rape of a girl.
The FIR (First Information Report) was registered at Islamabad's Shalimar police station on December 19 by the aunt of the girl at the centre of the complaint.
The case was registered against Shah and, according to the complainant, his friend, Farhanuddin, under sections 292-B and 292-C (child pornography) as well as 376 (punishment for rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The case stems from an incident that is alleged to have taken place on August 14 this year. No arrests have been made in the case yet.
In the complaint, the girl alleges that she was raped by Farhanuddin but that Shah allegedly threatened the aunt when she was going to the police to file the complaint.
Shah has not made any comment on the situation but the PCB said: "We have noted that some allegations have been levelled against one of our Centrally Contracted players.
"The PCB is presently gathering information at its end and will only offer a comment when in possession of complete facts."
