The Headingley cricket ground will not be sold to Yorkshire, the club has announced after its AGM. Yorkshire had been interested in buying the ground, which would have also given them control of the potentially lucrative advertising and catering at the ground, and they were in negotiations with the current landlords Leeds Cricket, Football and Athletic Company.
But after the long-running negotiations came to nothing, it was agreed that the management at Yorkshire management would continue to run the club on its present basis as leaseholders.
The club also announced that they would soon start the hunt for a new chief executive. Colin Graves, the current incumbent, will remain a member of the board.
