Pakistan batsman Younis Khan will leave the ongoing tour of Sri Lanka to return to Karachi because of the death of his nephew. The PCB is not going to send a replacement for the final two ODIs.

Younis was making his comeback to the ODI format after a break of more than a year, in his bid to stake a claim for the 2015 World Cup. Before the first match in Sri Lanka, Younis' last ODI for Pakistan was in March 2013.

"I am deeply saddened at the passing away of your nephew. Please accept my condolences, and convey these to your family as well," Shaharyar Khan, the PCB chairman, said in a message to Younis.

Pakistan lead the three-match series 1-0 after their four-wicket win in Hambantota on August 23. The second ODI against Sri Lanka is on August 26, and the third on August 30.
