Imraan Khan

Imraan Khan, a talented top-order batter, is a stalwart of Kwa-Zulu Natal cricket and played one Test for South Africa in 2009.

Imraan's pedigree was picked up at a young age when he led South Africa's Under-19 team on their tour of England in 2003, without having played any first-class games at the time. He went on to become a key member of the Dolphins squad, particularly in the longest format, played 161 first-class matches and scored more than 9,000 runs. After topping the SuperSport Series run-charts in 2008-09, he earned a shortlived international call-up but was elevated to the Dolphins captaincy the following season. Imraan retired in 2016 and almost immediately went into coaching at the same union. He worked as an assistant coach at the Dolphins under Grant Morgan and took over the juob in the 2020-21 season.

Under Imraan, the Dolphins won two first-class titles, shared a one-day cup and three T20 finals, in the space of five seasons. In August 2024, Imraan left his post at the Dolphins and was appointed Cricket South Africa's batting lead, to work across national and high performance teams.

His father, AK Khan, was CSA's president between May 2011 and March 2012.
