Jayant Yadav, the India offspinner, is set to make a comeback from injury during the two-day practice match between India A and the touring Bangladeshis in Secunderabad on February 5 and 6. Jayant has not played a competitive game since missing the fifth Test against England with a hamstring strain.
Jayant is one of three spinners in the India A squad, the others being the left-arm orthodox spinner Shahbaz Nadeem and the left-arm wristspinner Kuldeep Yadav. Aniket Choudhary, Chama Milind and allrounders Hardik Pandya and Vijay Shankar make up the pace options. Abhinav Mukund will lead the side, which also includes Shreyas Iyer and Priyank Panchal, the top run-getters in the last two editions of the Ranji Trophy, and three wicketkeepers in Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan and Nitin Saini.
