Have the India selectors done well in picking Sehwag, Zaheer and Gambhir for the A team?

Quality players like them shouldn't be discarded permanently on the basis of age or form. They deserve the opportunity to force their way back into the senior team.

India's next generation has shown promise in recent times. The selectors should have stayed the course and continued to invest in young talent.

According to me, This is absolutely right decision taken by BCCI. We can not ignore their contribution for India specially Sehwag and Zaheer. They have immense cricket left in them. If any of them gets his form, it will be great for India. Experience will be handy in South Africa. Furthermore we should not forget that Sachin is going to retire very soon then we will come to know the value of these players. Even BCCI must have add one more plyaer, who is Yuvraj Singh. I can surely say that he will come back in India's Squad and shine like a star. My best wishes are with three of them.

The form is temporary and Class is permanent. This is applicable for these Quality players like Sehwag, Gambhir, Zaheer, Yuvraj or Harbhajan Singh. As far as this Selection Committee under Messrs Sandeep Patil, I like their rotation policy and the selection of players and giving chance to one and all into the team. For the past One year they tried the performing cricketers in Domestic Circuit and now they have recalled discarded into India A team. By recalling them West Indies A will have a bad time here. I am sure these players are raring to go and are dedicated to bring their form back. I want all four in the team against away tours in NZ and SA and England. They are role models. Make a team around these players so Indian Cricket will get some wonderful experience and youth combination in the team. Well done selectors for bringing them back into India A team. This is the first step for them to get into Team India.

I think Gambhir and Sehwag have ample cricket left in them. This would give them an opportunity to work their way back to the Indian Team. There will be times when the existing 11 will need a break or maybe injured or tough tours where the experience of these two will be invaluable. So the selectors have made the right choice, they have shown faith in youngsters, now they are giving the old guard a chance to regain their confidence and form and also keep the newbies on their toes and know that should they slip up back up is ready. Zaheer is doubtful, he is too injury prone and since the WC 2012 his performances have not matched his status as India's strike bowler. I think the new crop of Fast Bowlers currently playing are doing well enough to take over and Zaheer should gracefully hang his boots.

They are legends they deserve to get some chances when not in form.

Yes, Shewag is really important for any batting order.. with his high scoring rate ability and big scores in test.. still he have some time left..

good decision - Shewag is outstanding player, he may have to improve his technique to become more reliable batsman and financialy very strong to fight against Dhoni.... but Zaheer and Ghambir should be left out.....

yes, these players are still gud enough, BCCI is now behaving like pak & WI Team mgmt, where they do not back good players..if veeru, GG, ZK is out of the team balahf of bad form then why Sachin is in ? isnt quite amazing. i think GG veeru are still better than virat 4 tests.

Absolutely the Seniors should be given the opportunity to compete for a slot on Team INDIA. If their form, fitness and fielding standards are up to the mark they should be included. I salute the Selection Committee for the way they have given all players - seniors and the young guns ample opportunities to prove themselves.

Its a better decision of the Indian cricket selectors. Sehwag and Zaheer are India's best players that they must not be avoided, the young players should not be given chance by avoiding these super stars. I think selectors must go with this and give them more matches in the main team instead of A team.

they were good and they are and they deserve to be in main team
