Should Full Members play competitive Associates like Afghanistan and Ireland more frequently?

Yes

Yes. Such games will make Associate teams tougher, and a more competitive playing field is good for the game.

No

No. A better way for Associates to improve is to develop a competitive domestic first-class structure. Games against Full Members will be one-sided and overcrowd the calendar.

It is a win-win situation when Associates play full members. It gives the associate chance to test themselves against top teams and thus know their weaknesses and more importantly learn from them. And as far as the full members are concerned, it will be a great opportunity to test their bench strength and give opportunities to younger players.

Yes,full members should play at least a 3 match series against Afghanistan and Ireland. They should be called to India,Australia,South Africa,England,West Indies, etc. This will give them a better platform to perform and showcase their talent to whole world.Teams cant go to Afghanistan due to security issues,so they should at least try to go to Ireland if possible. If Ireland and Afghanistan perform well in spell of next 3-5 years, they should be given Test Status and not in quickness.Cricket need to be made more popular in developed countries also like US,Canada,Germany,Brazil,Argentina,Italy,Spain,France,Japan, etc.Cricket need to be retained in New Zealand as it is now not very popular there.

Yes they have to play, and we kindly request ICC to give them chance to prove their talent, and why full member don't want play against them, because they scare of being a loser team if they play, ICC should give more chances to Afghanistan and Ireland too, I am pretty sure that Afghan players are more talented and they just need chance to play against full members. only World cup matches are not enough for them, as you guys know it has more pressure, if chances given to them before WC matches it can help them a lot. Thanks

Unless the Associate members like Afghanistan and Ireland play more matches against the full members, they will not be able to assess themselves as to where they stand, skill wise, tactics wise etc. It is hard to understand why Zimbabwe and Bangladesh don't play enough matches against when there is hardly much difference b/w them and the top associates.

Nodding positively, the Associates require a battle at the highest level. In contrary to the calendar being filled with matches, that's just a blessing in disguise for the players to showcase their talent. Every player and team wants to build fans, and be recognised globally. This is what every team wants to be a Professional team rather associate. Atleast the top associate teams require a regular chance of playing cricket at the highest level and who knows there could be a stand out talent, or two, like Ryan Ten descote from Netherlands!

Rather than directly playing with full members, associate teams need to play 4-day & 1-day matches with 'A' teams of full members. There will be many advantages in that. The contest will be even (instead of one sided) and it will benefit players from both sides. For Associate team: 'A' teams of full members are usually strong enough and playing against them will give associate team members good exposure and chance to work on improving their skills. For 'A' team: Performing well against associate members is important for 'A' team players for that will be kind of benchmark for their selection to senior side.
