India 337 for 9 (Rodrigues 123, Deepti 93, Mandhana 51, Klaas 2-51) beat South Africa 314 for 7 (Dercksen 81, Tryon 67, Amanjot 3-59) by 23 runs
India posted their highest score against South Africa - 337 for 9 - and their fifth-highest total in all ODIs to seal their spot in the Sri Lanka Tri-Series final on Sunday, where they will play the hosts. In response, South Africa batted bravely to score their second-highest total batting second, but were still knocked out of the tournament.
That means South Africa's match on Friday against Sri Lanka will be a dead rubber. But more concerning for South Africa is that they have won only one of their last ten ODIs. Exactly the opposite statistic applies to India, who have lost only one of their last ten games, and controlled proceedings for almost all of their match against South Africa on Wednesday, even if the margin victory suggests otherwise.

Gujarat Titans 147 for 7 (Gill 43, Buttler 30, Bumrah 2-19, Boult 2-22, Ashwani 2-28) beat Mumbai Indians 155 for 8 (Jacks 53, Suryakumar 35, Sai Kishore 2-34) by three wickets (DLS method)
In a chaotic match laced with rain breaks in the second half, Gujarat Titans (GT) got home by the barest of margins to reach the top of the IPL 2025 points table and end Mumbai Indians' (MI) six-match winning streak. When it started to rain just before midnight, MI would have thought they had fashioned an improbable comeback. Between two rain breaks, they had taken 4 for 25 to turn GT's lead of eight on the DLS par score to a deficit of four with two overs to go.
Thanks to some excellent work from the groundstaff, the game resumed at the last possible moment, leaving GT 15 to get in one over. Deepak Chahar was hit for a four and a six in the first three balls, then bowled a no-ball, but came back to take a wicket. With one needed off the last ball, MI could still have forced a tie had someone come around to collect the throw from mid-off. Hardik Pandya, who had bowled two no-balls earlier and had decided against bowling the last over, missed with the direct hit, sparking wild celebrations in the GT camp.

Rain knocks SRH out and hands DC a reprieve

SRH captain Pat Cummins struck thrice and that helped restrict DC to just 133

No Result Delhi Capitals 133 for 7 (Stubbs 41*, Ashutosh 41, Cummins 3-19) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
Rain put an official end to Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) IPL 2025 playoffs hopes and gave Delhi Capitals (DC) what could be a valuable point in their bid to finish in the top four. It certainly looked like a point gained for DC rather than one lost, after Pat Cummins took three new-ball wickets to put SRH in the driver's seat at the innings break.
Rain arrived soon after DC, sent in to bat, finished their innings at 133 for 7. By the time the weather cleared, the outfield was too sodden for the ground staff to clear by 11.42pm, the official cut-off time for a five-over chase.
