Yorkshire eased into the second round of the inaugural Vitality T20 County Cup competition with a resounding 122-run win over Derbyshire in Harrogate this afternoon.
Lauren Winfield-Hill made a brilliant 88 and Ami Campbell added a quickfire unbeaten 41 as Yorkshire, who won the toss, posted 205 for 3 from their 20 overs.

Resolute batting by Lancashire's Luke Wells and Tom Hartley frustrated Gloucestershire's bowlers and helped ensure that the Rothesay County Championship match at Emirates Old Trafford ended in a draw.
The visitors declared on their overnight score of 589 for eight, giving them a lead of 139, and when they reduced the home side to 160 for six half an hour before tea, they looked well placed to beat Lancashire for the first time since 2015.

James Rew's tenth first-class century guided Somerset to an unlikely first Rothesay County Championship victory of the season, a three-wicket success against Essex at the Cooper Associates Ground, Taunton.
Having been 78 for 5 at one stage in their second innings, chasing 321 to win, the home side began the final day on 216 for 6, still needing 105. But Rew took his score from 65 to a superb 116, off 189 balls, with 18 fours, sharing a seventh-wicket stand of 133 with Craig Overton, who contributed 53 not out, to complete a remarkable fightback.

Karachi Kings clinched a thrilling final-over victory in a dramatic finish at the Gaddafi Stadium against arch-rivals Lahore Qalandars in their PSL 2025 game on Sunday. In a game that finished past midnight after a 90-minute rain delay, Kings, who had been behind in the chase almost throughout, scored the last 48 runs in 16 balls after a clutch onslaught at the death from Irfan Khan. In doing so, they leapfrogged Islamabad United to go up to second on the table, leaving Qalandars vulnerable to yet another round-robin knockout.
Much of the chase was an exercise in improbability, though Kings did all the right things. Needing 168 in 15 overs with one fewer powerplay over thanks to the unexpected rain that descended upon the Lahore evening, David Warner took down the normally miserly Asif Afridi's second over, plundering 20 off it. Significantly, he would end up bowling just one more, a sequence of events that ended up with medium pacer Daryl Mitchell needing to send down the final over.

Warwickshire inflicted a third Metro Bank One-Day Cup defeat of the season on Surrey at a bracing and blustery Beckenham. Surrey's 313 for 7, adorned by a century from Sophia Dunkley, never quite looked enough on a cracking batting surface and positive batting from Davina Perrin and Nat Wraith broke the back of the chase before Beth Ellis played an assured finishing role.
Warwickshire's chase was the second-highest ever in women's List A cricket (Bengal hauled in Haryana's 389 for 5 in Rajkot in December 2024) and the highest ever in England.

Ben Brown scored his first century as Hampshire captain to eliminate fears of an innings defeat to Durham in the Rothesay County Championship.
