In the last two years, New Zealand have won in South Africa, England, drew in Sri Lanka , beat India 4-0 and have capped it off with his win in the UAE. They're on the up and up and how. But things are winding down here. Thank you for your company tonight and through the tour as well. This is Alagappan Muthu saying sayonara

Kane Williamson is the Man of the Series "It was nice to receive the award, but in a series that went up and down, it was fantastic to learn from the Pakistan side and ultimately to come out to win in such an evenly fought series has been great. It was important to keep adapting our plans, personnel changed quite a lot, had a lot of injuries and it was important to go for the big shots late. We didn't have Corey today and all. Outstanding, it was great to see them improve in small steps from the huge total Pakistan racking up in Sharjah. The middle order has shown how powerful they are and to not let them get on top of us has been brilliant. Has been a great series, an emotional series for many reasons and both teams have put together some fantastic cricket"

Matt Henry is the Man of the Match "It's a great way to start to come out here and get a series win in these conditions and against a strong Pakistan side, we're all stoked. We built on our performances every game, we stuck to our plans and tonight it shows. No real prize scalps, just happy to get em"

Shahid Afridi congratulates New Zealand, but says there are a lot of positives. Overall, the cricket in the last 2-3 months they have played is great. They have lost the series but there have been a lot of positives. We knew this was an important game. There were small things that we need to cover before the World Cup - fielding and partnerships. [Losing the deciding game in a series] This is not an excuse. If you think that you won't win, you won't win. Overall, everyone played very well. Some of the things, the management knows, what mistakes we made. So we have to improve on them. [Turning points] Bowlers bowled well but we still gave away 15-20 runs more. We lacked partnerships. Ahmed Shehzad's wicket was crucial and Haris Sohail's. he was playing well Their dismissals put us on the backfoot. I was trying to send a message to take the Powerplay. But we went on the backfoot after Shehzad's wicket. There is no 35 overs in my book, whenever we need to improve our average, we have to take the Powerplay, but that didn't happy today.

10.10 pm The better team has won, you reckon? At least on the day, New Zealand have been miles ahead of Pakistan. They batted better on a pitch that was slow and not perfectly conducive for strokeplay thanks to Kane Williamson's class and Ross Taylor's determination. Then their new-ball bowlers got the ball to swing around, 23-year old Matt Henry took out five of Pakistan's top three and set them back big time. Yet another poor start meant Shahid Afridi's men fell behind the eight ball again and the final jinx came back to bite them.

TejaMainHoon: "NZ are now really serious contenders for the WC. Not that I didn't expect that earlier.. But beating Pak in UAE, with a couple of their senior players missing.. they are certainly going to do great at full strength in their own backyard.. I am rooting for NZ to win the WC.."

rehan: "Really like the look of this NZ bowling attack. Young and Fast! Wish Pakistan can have few of them"

oh, N Mac enjoyed that! The batsman was charging down the pitch again, but this time the fuller delivery was slid through quicker and wider outside off. Anwar cannot reach, and he can't get back to safety either. Top work from Ronchi
