8.12pm And the match has been called off - England win by 46 runs on DLS to keep the series alive. Will bring you the presentation shortly.

Mitchell Marsh: "Thought we did extremely well to get to 300, particularly with conditions early on. England too good with the bat. I thought 250 after that start would be awesome and we were well and truly in the game. We knew the wicket had flatten out...but they got a really good partnership going. Fair play to them."

Harry Brook (who is also Player of the Match): "We started off really nice with the ball, looked to take wickets and got a few early on. Obviously they started building partnerships through the middle and batted really nicely. With the bat, me and Jacksy just tried to stay out there as long as possible and create that partnership. Definitely thought the pitch got better towards the end of Australia's innings and it was a simple message of go out and play your own game. Thankfully it came off today. Nice to get the first [hundred] on the board, hopefully there's plenty more to come."

Right, on that somewhat damp note, I'll wrap things up for tonight. Excellent chase from England, led by their captain. Plenty to plan for at Lord's on Friday. Alan's report will be here but from him, and me, it's goodbye and thanks for joining us.

8.05pm Very heavy rain. More covers coming out. It's a bit grim, although not for Harry Brook.

7.58pm Vish: "Very fine rain now...and now heavier" A reminder England are 46 runs ahead on DLS.

Mustafa Moudi: "So finally Australia's 14 Match Winning Streak comes to an end after almost a year (348 days to be exact). They last lost an ODI to South Africa in the World Cup 2023!" At the moment appears that way.

7.55pm As we wait, here's some news from today. Mark Wood will have a further assessment of his elbow this week. And Ben Stokes is open to a limited-overs comeback.

Vish: "Stopped playing rain-adjacent songs - now onto Joy Division." And it has stopped raining. We starting lose overs at 8.04pm

7.45pm Here's Vish again: "It's a softer hoon, but a hoon nonetheless. Crowds dispersed, lot of umbrellas."

7.40pm Full covers are on. So we may have to get a lucky turn of events.

Mike: "Livingstone seems to have really matured this summer. Always been a fan of his, but he's played a few excellent match-winning knocks this series instead of being hit-or-miss. Hopefully this cameo has been another."

Keith Armstrong: "Sorry but we're done for the night. Steady drizzle 6 miles west."

7.35pm Rain stopped play. The umpires have decided it's too heavy. England 46 runs ahead of DLS. We have 30 minutes of extra time. Not sure we'll be off for long. But Miller is less hopeful: "That might be it, thought that first band had missed, but there's a heavier one coming up." And now Vish adds: "Properly hooning now." So ignore what I said!

John: "Definition of captains knock? Coming in with your side in trouble and 2-0 down in series. Well done Harry." Can he finish it?
