length ball, on the stumps, hooked out towards wide long-on, they come back for a couple but it's nowhere near enough - West Indies have won by 14 runs!
West Indies vs Australia, 2nd T20I at Bridgetown, , Mar 30 2012 - Ball by Ball Commentary
5.40pm: We're back out on the pitch for the presentations ...
Australia captain George Bailey: "Great start from the West Indies, I think we pulled it back to about par, 160, and I thought we were on course to knock it off. They put pressure on us, the wicket of David Warner was huge, run-outs change matches. The crowd were great and hopefully we provided some good entertainment."
West Indies captain Darren Sammy: "We knew it was a 180-plus pitch. We tried Polly and myself up the order to try and get some momentum- that didn't work today but we kept going. The work we've been doing in the camp and throughout the series has been paying off and I want to ask the boys to keep doing that. We want to keep doing well in the Tests and hopefully continue the good results."
Dwayne Smith is named Man of the Match: "I was pleased with the performance and glad we got a win. I've been doing a lot of work on my batting, doing the things I know and it seems to be working."
Man of the Series is Shane Watson: "Today was a bit disappointing to not get the result we wanted. It's been an up and down series and today was another learning experience. It worked out well for us to hold them back to 160. We were well on the way so it's disappointing and once again a learning experience."
That's it from me - have a great weekend and do join us for the first Test, which starts on Saturday April 7. Bye!
5.30pm: West Indies have tied the series, just as they did the one-dayers, and put another dent in the tourists' confidence. Despite a spectacular collapse, they got enough on the board and managed to keep a lid on the Australian scoring - getting rid of David Warner was particularly crucial, thanks to an exhilarating run out from Dwayne Bravo. He, along with Marlon Samuels and Fidel Edwards, bowled superbly and West Indies deserved their win - one which keeps them above Afghanistan in the ICC rankings.
Doherty's in, Bravo only has to play it safe ...
slower ball on off, bowled him! Bravo is aeroplaning around the outfield after taking West Indies to the brink of victory. The ball was too good for McKay, who tried to hit it out of the ground but lost his off stump
gone, what a catch from Pollard! Hussey fastened on to a full ball on the stumps and thumped it out towards deep midwicket, where Pollard, running round from long-on dived full length to grasp the ball in his bucket-like hands
length, on the stumps, dumped in front of midwicket for a single
slight change in pace, angled in from wide of the crease, McKay misses with a swipe as the ball sails past leg stump ... Baugh then hits the wicket but the batsman had grounded his bat
full, swinging towards leg stump, shovelled to deep backward square and they scamper through for one
It's Bravo at the death ...
Quite an over: two wickets, one scoring shot, six runs ... but West Indies are favourites
superb reply, a yorker wide of off stump, McKay had backed away and missed with a swish of the bat
slings down a full toss on leg stump and McKay batters it down the ground for six! He gave that some humpty
pitched up, steps back and makes another air shot
length, quick and seaming back in, McKay prods tentatively but it's too good for him
two in two balls for Edwards! Full, fast and straight, drifting in to the batsman and off stump goes pinwheeling away! Lee saw nothing off that - and Edwards is now on a hat-trick ...
full and wide, chipped straight to extra-cover! Christian was nowhere near the pitch and simply levered the ball to Sammy at head height
"Really poor cricket from Wade," observes JV. "Got bogged down and then threw it away. Hussey had Australia cruising then." Well, they're not cruising now, thanks to a big over from Samuels. Edwards to bowl the penultimate over ...
length outside off, Christian plays a premeditated paddle shot to short fine leg
full, on the stumps, chipped down the ground wide of long-on and they take a couple
That's four dot balls and a wicket from Samuels. Dan Christian to the crease ...
caught and bowled! It was basically a full toss and Wade smacked it straight back at Samuels, who anticipated the catch and took it comfortably moving to his right. But hold on, they're checking whether was a no-ball on height ... No, it was close but he's been given out
flighted a bit more, turning across the batsman who misses with a big swing, Baugh removing the bails just in case
pushed across the batsman, driven to cover
full, flat and quick, beats Wade outside off stump
Samuels into the attack ...
length, again taking the pace off, clubbed down the ground
rolls his fingers over it again, turning it into an offcutter - Wade swings and misses, with the ball swerving past off stump on its way through to the keeper
