6.14pm Right, that'll do for now. Don't stray too far, because the action keeps coming with a massive Group A clash on this same ground. I'll leave you in PDP's capable hands for Australia vs New Zealand, but from Miller, Alan and Ranjith, ta-ra!

Time for presentations

Hayley Matthews says WI had targetted 140-150 after a good start to their innings: "Today was about getting in early in the World Cup, good to get some out in the middle. Stafanie didn't hit what she wanted to today but we are backing her 100 percent. [India] is crucial after today, take the positives from today into that game."

Heather Knight: "They put us under pressure, it wasn't our best fielding and bowling but attitude with the bat was fearless, what we want. We want to take the game on and entertain, go hard at the top, got the depth and the smarts in the middle to adapt if we need to. Today was a big step to take that mindset into the big game when there are some nerves around. A lovely blend with those youngsters doing their thing, important to have experience in big competitions. Play golf tomorrow, and a day off. Chill and get your mind right [for Ireland].

"A bit of a two-paced pitch, but I was very boundary-focussed," says Nat Sciver-Brunt, who is holding a trophy that implies she is the Player of the Match. "We want to walk towards the danger. Ireland [next match], much of the same, keep that communication going. We're having fun out here, want to keep that going."

Alex: "Unfortunately this win won't tell us much about Englands prospects. We know WI are a bit rubbish at the moment. The divide between the haves and have nots in women's cricket is quite distressing. WI are most definitely in the have-not camp " Let's see what happens when the WPL gets going. The power players in the Windies line-up will be in high demand, and as we saw with the men's standards at ICC events post-IPL, their involvement was a big factor in their success...

6pm That is a mighty impressive display from England. A run-rate in excess of 9.5 an over, and had they batted their 20 overs, they'd have been on for 200-plus. It took a catch-of-the-tournament contender to saw off Sophia Dunkley in her prime, but the old guard of NSciver-Brunt and Knight ensured no wobbles. No threat of a wobble. For West Indies, there was a promising show of form from Hayley Matthews with 42 from 32, but they fell away in the second half of their innings.

Alex: "…still, you can only beat who's in front of you. We'll see later on how England will fair against Australia and India. " Yes indeed. But this is a start.
