full length, chipped into the leg-side, and fittingly run out on the second run to end another one-sided win for India!
IND Women vs ENG Women, 2nd T20I at Bristol, ENG-W vs IND-W, Jul 01 2025 - Match Result
9.52pm So, that's a wrap from match 2. India are in a magnificent vein of form. Can England find a way back into this one? We'll find out at The Oval soon enough! From Miller, Shashank, Harshith and the team, good night!
Hypocaust: "Player of the match, Amanjot Kaur is the first Indian woman to both score 60 runs and take at least one wicket in the same T20I."
9.42pm Time for some presentations.
The Player of the Match is Amanjot Kaur, for a career-best 63 from 40 balls, and excellent bowling.
"I am feeling quite overwhelmed, happy to contribute to this win. Injuries are part and parcel of the game, but I had no pressure on comeback, just doing what I love to do. I had time to plan things, I worked it out. Jemimah, the way she played her innings, it was quite impressive. The bowlers bowled very well, 150 was par so we backed our bowlers and got it."
Nat Sciver-Brunt: "They played very well, a big partnership. We didn't adapt as quickly as we'd like. Lauren Bell bowled a brilliant four overs, everyone stuck to their task, the effort was certainly there. We have full confidence in our players, we'll see how it goes, we needed partnerships, with Tammy and Amy showing that. Tammy has been in brilliant form in domestic cricket, glad she's taken that confidence from the form she's in.
"This is not the end. We'll come back with some fresh ideas, try and be more clinical, and take some confidence from this game."
Harmanpreet Kaur: "Good win for us, the way the entire team performed today was special to see. The way Jemimah and Amanjot played gave us a platform. When boundaries were not coming they were looking for twos. Still it's a long time to see how it'll be in the World Cup. Just focus on this series. Spin is our strength and I want to back that."
9.36pm And that is the end of that. Three wins in a row for India over England, and a 2-0 lead in this five-match series, neither of which has been remotely close. England thought it could be a different story when India slumped to 31 for 3 in the powerplay. But Rodrigues, Amanjot and Ghosh had other ideas. And then, in reply, England themselves crashed to 17 for 3, from which an excellent 54 from Beaumont wasn't nearly enough to revive them. Ecclestone landed some late blows but by then the contest was over. Food for thought for the new management!
vishwa: "this is sophie's career best in t20is" Silver linings and all that.
Raji: "I'm still finding it hard to believe Heather stepped down as captain. She definitely didn't let the team down--it's the other way around." Not sure she was given much say in the matter!
Rajkumar Lingav: "Flying start for Mandhana, 2 out of 2. What a place to do it."

Safe to say that over did not travel. This contest is in India's pocket
