Hales, trying to work to leg, closes the bat face early and the ball loops up off the leading edge for cover to gobble it up. He absolutely smashes this but the only problem is that he hits it straight to Evans. Munro cannot believe what he has done; Little cannot believe his luck either. 14.1 to PW Hasaranga, and Narine gets Hasaranga! Length delivery on leg stump, bowled from around the wicket to cramp the batter for room. Hasaranga looks to go over deep mid wicket nevertheless but cannot generate the power to clear Willey at deep mid wicket. A simple enough catch, and the Vipers have lost two in two!. 126/5 14.6 to SE Rutherford, no need for DRS this time! Floated up full outside off. Rutherford is completely done in by the flight and has to reach out well in front of his pad to meet it. Cannot keep it down and offers the easiest of return catches to Narine. 13.6 to AJ Hose, Knight Riders go up in appeal again but it is turned down! Holds that wide line outside off. Hose, tired of that line, tries to manufacture something. Shapes for the reverse paddle and there is a noise as the ball passes the bat. Was it the bat hitting the ground, or did the ball graze the outside edge? We go upstairs to find out. Length on middle and off. de Leede tries to slog it over long on but loses his shape. Slices across the ball.
