Kohler-Cadmore, you beauty! He's taken his side home, almost single-handedly. Low full toss on leg stump, TKC backs away and pushes to long-on. Rashid is back for two in a flash. The throw comes in to the keeper. He parries the ball onto the stumps, but TKC was home, easy. Aayan tried his best in the final over, but TKC was just too good.
Giants vs Warriorz, 3rd Match at Dubai, ILT20, Jan 12 2025 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Warriorz won by 3 wickets (with 0 balls remaining)
Another last-over thriller and the ILT20 is off to a great start. Thanks for tuning in tonight. Hope you had as much fun as we had brining the coverage to you. We will back nice and early tomorrow where Dubai Capitals will take on MI Emirates. Till then, this is Ashish signing off on behalf of Ranjith. Good night!
Tom Kohler-Cadmore is unsurprisingly the player of the match: Yeah, it is great to get off with a win. Would have been devastated had we not got over the line. I felt I need one six [in the last over]. The big side, we could have scrambled back for two and it worked out. He [Aayan] was outstanding in the last over and did not miss by much. Almost got their side over the one The pitch played well. Once you got your eye in, it was easier to hit. It has been a nice build-up. We got here a few days ago and it has been great.
Tim Southee: Nice close one there and it is nice to be on the right side of that. It was good. It is a new group of guys. We had a warm-up game the either day and it was nice. We gave five-ten too many at the backend. But TKC batted brilliantly and got us home. We have a deep batting lineup and you can see the value of taking wickets. We were sitting pretty up front, but then lost our way. [Pitch] A different wicket. Last night it nipped a bit more. It became a little easier today.
James Vince: We were pretty happy at the break. They bowled well upfront and our batters did well. [On TKC] He is a quality player, clean striker of the ball. He measured his innings, and if we had got him out, it would have been different. [On Rehan at No. 3] His innings was outstanding. He put the pressure back onto the bowlers. We have him for a short time, and it was Andy's [Flower] call to send him up. [Last over by Aayan] It was difficult in the dew. Aayan has been a great player for us over the years. He has grown massively. He bowled a great over.
Presentation time
9.45pm And, breathe! Twice in two night a match at the ILT20 has gone to the last ball. This time, though it is the chasing team which has gotten over the line. Tom Kohler-Cadmore, opened the batting, and made sure he was there right till the end with a superb unbeaten 56-ball 83 with six fours and four sixes. He stitched a 105-run stand off 66 balls with Rohan Mustafa, but none of the other batters could do much. Kohler-Cadmore, however, made sure he was there till the end and got Warriorz home
Warriors need 2 runs in 1 ball. Who's getting this? Giants? Warriorz? Super Over?
Dot ball... dot ball! Darts this on middle stump, TKC can only play this back to the bowler
Warriorz need 2 runs in 2 balls.
Is that the game? Low full toss outside off. TKC stays low, lines him up and slams him miles over long-on.
Warriors need 8 runs in 3 balls.
Another ow full toss on middle, he slams this back at the bowler at pace. He parries the ball to long on and they take two
Warriors need 10 runs in 4 balls.
Lovely bowling. Darts the arm ball outside off. TKC can't lay a bat on that
Low full toss on off, he mistimes to deep extra cover. They don't take the run
So, twice in two days, the match goes to the final over. Who is going to bowl this 20th over for Giants? Will it be Rehan? Will it be left-arm spinner Aayan? Aayan it is, who will bowl this final over... and his first of the innings. All of 19. Can he secure a miraculous win for Giants? Kohler-Cadmore on strike. Warriorz need 10 runs in 6 balls.
Back of a length ball outside off, he punches to deep extra cover for a run
Slower fuller-length ball outside off, he drills this but straight to cover-point who is right on the circle

Slower fuller-length ball on leg, he swishes this to deep square leg
Another wide. Slower back of a length ball well outside the tramline outside off. Called a wide

Slower length ball but that is well outside the tramline. Called a wide
THRASHED! Back of a length ball on off. Rashid stays back and pulls over deep midwicket for a six. Now this has changed the equation.
Warriors need 24 runs in 12 balls. Who will bowl the 19th over? Rehan or Mills? Hmmm, Mills it is.
Three runs and a wicket off that over. Length on middle, he gets a thick inside-edge on to pad close to the stumps, and TKC sprints across for a run. Shouldn't he have kept the strike?
Slower bouncer shoulder-high on off, he pulls to deep square leg for a run
Back of a length ball outside off, he pats to deep point for a run
Good length ball on off, he defends

Oh, my word, that is a stunning catch by Adair! Sharp back of a length ball hip-high on off. Harmeet is way too late on the pull, ends up ballooning this straight up. For the longest time it felt the ball will fall in no-man's land, but Adair hares across towards the midwicket region and takes a tumbling catch
Length ball outside off, he mistimes to short cover. TKC has to scamper back at the non-striker's end
Warriors need 27 runs in 18 balls. This is getting close. Kohler-Cadmore holds the key for Warriorz. No doubt about that. Adair back on for his final over
