Until next time, take care and keep enjoying this beautiful sport. This is Rvel Zahid, signing off on behalf of Ranjith.

Moises Henriques, WF Captain: "30 off the 40 overs went to the plan. We could have got 10-15 runs more with the way Shorty set us off. The way they batted in their last five overs was opposite to us. Other than Bravo and Shorty, the others didn't find any sort of timing. We could have executed better and from the captaincy point of view, could have looked at a few more options."

Faf du Plessis, TSK Captain: "It was one of those wickets where it was not easy to bat on. Matthew Short was one guy who made it look easy. It was brilliant to see DJ Bravo bringing out the calypso flavor and playing that way. We lost too many wickets in the powerplay, when you are chasing such a target you need a good start."

So close and yet so far, the stupendous hitting from DJ Bravo nearly got his team over the line. Once he settled in, he completely turned the tables on WAF and reminded us once again of his champion status. His incredible hitting was a treat to watch, but Nortje held his nerve in the final over and successfully defended 26 runs.

Bravo, batting at No.7, attacked the opposition and gave WAF a run for their money. However, the early stumble made the target a challenging one for TSK. Ultimately, it came down to fine margins. If the top-order had provided a bit more support, the outcome could have been different. With the big guns failing and tottering at 50/5, they left too much to be done for Santner and Bravo.

Hosein showcased brilliance with his cunning spin tactics, while Jansen effectively mixed up his deliveries and applied pressure on the batters. Saurabh Netravalkar maintained an economy rate of less than six runs per over, adding to the pressure on the opposition in the first 10 overs when the innings seemed stagnant. It was only after Bravo settled in and launched his assault that WAF started to feel the heat.

Afeef: "This would've been Bravo's highest T20 score if the stats in this tournament were counted"

Ranjit: "Today Bravo almost did what he did for CSK a bit more than 5 yrs ago. "

Ram: "I think someone commented about this before but Texas playing just like Chennai. Using the dhoni and Fleming method of getting close to the target. In fact, Dhoni has spoken about this before!!"

Maurice: "Hi Rvel, when do you think the MLC can have a complete home and away format - where each of the six teams has a home ground. I think 2028, when the Olympics happen in LA, but hopefully sooner!!" While 2028, coinciding with the Olympics in LA, seems like a potential milestone, I agree that USA cricket should strive for it to happen sooner and have more grounds. I think for the cricket to truly flourish and gain widespread popularity, it needs to become ingrained in the public consciousness. It is crucial to focus on grassroots development, as the sport won't reach its full potential if it remains limited to the expat community. There is indeed a lot of work to be done at the grassroots level to create a solid foundation for the game to thrive. By investing in grassroots cricket programs, fostering local talent, and engaging the wider public, USA can pave the way for the MLC to become a truly popular league.

Abhiram Manchi : "Somebody please remind me. Why did this man retire again?" He should perhaps take inspiration from Tamim Iqbal; DJ is still striking the ball superbly and could easily fit into any team!

Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, SIX runs

Clattered violently back over the bowler's head for a SIX! Non-stop entertainment in the first match of today's doubleheader. A final-ball boundary as he seizes on this full ball and bashes it. TSK lose by a thin margin but what a fantastic fight, DJ nearly got them over the line!

Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, FOUR runs

One-handed slash down the ground and it scutters away to the rope! Attacks it and hauls it away even though he lost his shape but got enough in the end

19.4
Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, no run

Nortje holds his nerve and spears it right in the blockhole, there's not much Bravo can do about it, swipes it down the ground

2
Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, 2 runs

Fine leg and third man up in the ring. Slams a shorter delivery, angling in and he goes for the full-blooded pull, not much power behind the shot, a fumble in the deep and they easily complete the second. Bravo still on stirke

Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, SIX runs

It's out of the park! A touch short and angling into the body, goes back, splays his front foot to square leg. It was a slower delivery, he picked it up and gave it a brutal treatment, goes all the way in the upper tier! It was in his slot and he doesn't miss out! Still it's a very tough ask, 19 off 4 balls. There is a big meeting going in in the middle between the captain, Hosein and Nortje! Will he go for the yorker?

Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, 2 runs

Banged into the pitch with full force and into the body, he went for the pull but hasn't got the middle of the bat, Mohsin running as hard as he can and makes sure he completes the double

Jansen to Dwayne Bravo, 1 run

Oh my goodness! What have you done Bravo? Miscues a skier and it's tantalizingly in the air but it falls short of the man circulating at cover and Bravo gets a reprieve! Got off-balance while trying to slap that over covers, ball rose sharply in the channel

My word, no way! How can you hit that from that length? Pitched up and gets a little bit of away seam movement, he swings hard again and manages to spank it over backward point for a much-needed boundary. He has scored 38 in the last 10 balls!

Clatters it away into the covers and fetches a couple to bring up a staggering half-century but the job is not done yet

Jansen to Dwayne Bravo, FOUR runs

Short of a length around the line off, he goes back and holy smokes, he has swatted it well enough to earn a boundary as deep square fails to cut it off. That's wonderful hitting, a Bravo's special!

Farrukh T: "TSK missing the trick of not sending Mohsin in earlier as I have seen him bat and could have made the difference!!"

Ball hits Coetzee on the gloves and he is getting a bit of medical attention as we have a bit of delay

Jansen to Coetzee, 1 run

Fuller length, stumps to stumps line, tickles it away to the right of the keeper towards square leg. Is there a twist in this tale?

Jansen to Savage, OUT

Rapped on the pads, shrieking for an lbw and up goes the finger! There is no element of doubt here! Slower, very full on the middle and it would have crashed onto the middle stump, no need to go upstairs for that. Now the next batter needs to bring Bravo on the strike who is timing the ball so well!

Pounded hard through mid-off for a blistering boundary! That's exactly what TSK needed to stay in the hunt! Back to back boundaries, Bravo, you beauty! Springs down the track and absolutely leathers it downtown

Goes for the yorker but Bravo is equal to the task! Expertly done and a right smile on Nortje's face! He made room and opened the face of the blade to steer this yorker past third man for a boundary. Wow!

Back of a length, scudding through the surface and holding its line, plonked down the ground as long-on runs across and cuts it off. Two big deliveries coming up

Nortje to Dwayne Bravo, 1 run

Pitched up on a length, following the batter down leg as he thrashes it away to deep backward point, skews off the edge. Game is not over yet!

Kaboom, he goes big again! That was 106 meters six into the top tier!
