73.6 to Mahmudullah, when you have been dropping so many chances, need something extraordinary to produce a wicket, Riaz induces the edge as Mahmdullah pushes from the crease, the left-armer's angle working, but the line was spot-on around off too, it was dying on first slip, but Sarfraz goes flying to his right to take a one-handed blinder. 187/3 117.6 to Mohammad Shahid, Shahid swings again, picks out mid-off. He steps away outside leg, Wahab is wary of it as he chases the batsman with a short ball. It gets too big on Shahid as he flat-bats it without any timing into the hands of Misbah. The captain comes up and pats Wahab. 329/9 119.6 to Rubel Hossain, and Rubel has nicked off! Fuller and outside off at 142.2ks, he does not move his feet and throws his bat at it. Gets a thick edge, Sarfraz dives across to his right to pouch it. 332/10
18 | 5 | 47 | 2 | 2.61 | 80 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
40.2 to Imrul Kayes, and he falls next ball after reaching fifty, Hafeez angles it even more into the pads, Kayes looks to work it on the leg side, leading edge loops back to the bowler, first wicket for Hafeez with his remodelled action. 92/2 111.2 to Soumya Sarkar, Soumya holes out! Another sharp catch from Shafiq. He aims to go straight down the ground, manages a sliced hit, which swirls in the air. Asad Shafiq runs across to his left from cover, tumbles and takes a brilliant catch. The catching has improved today. 305/6
32 | 3 | 99 | 2 | 3.09 | 139 | 13 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
89.5 to Mominul Haque, oh oh, Mominul has gone leg before in the last over of the day, Bangladesh review, that looked plumb, pitching off and middle, and ball tracker says that is hitting middle, that gripped a bit and spun, Mominul pushed outside the line as he tried to defend. 236/4 93.1 to Shakib Al Hasan, Babar strikes! What was that, Shakib? Tossed up outside leg, Shakib nips down the track and aims to go over the leg side. All he manages is an inside edge that is grasped smartly by Shafiq, diving to his left at leg-slip. Sharp, low catch. 243/5
28 | 4 | 86 | 3 | 3.07 | 117 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
26.6 to Tamim Iqbal, and as lunch approaches, Yasir strikes, inside edge on to pad as he plays a hurrying delivery from the crease, short leg dives to take it, but replays are very tight on the no-ball check, arguably he does not have anything behind the line as he lands, but third umpire goes with the bowler. 52/1 112.4 to Mushfiqur Rahim, how soft was that? two wickets in two overs for Pakistan. Shortish and spinning away outside off, Mushfiq does not go for a full-blooded cut, checks his shot and spoons it to the covers. No mistake from Misbah, Mushfiq throws his head back in despair. 310/7 114.4 to Taijul Islam, bowled'em! Wrong'un from Yasir, it works this time. Taijul shuffles across a bit, does not meet with the sweep after sinking to one knee. He did not read the wrong'un. Yasir rattles the leg stump. 312/8 |

159.4 to Sarfaraz Ahmed, chipped to mid-on! Shahid finally has his maiden Test wicket. No big celebrations, he is just relieved. Sarfraz steps down the track, Shahid pulls his length back a bit to foil Sarfraz's airy flick. He can only lob it to Litton Das and that's a dolly catch. 594/6

11.5 to Sami Aslam, Mushfiq belts out an appeal for a catch down the leg side. Drifting down leg, Aslam aims to tickle it away but misses. Mushfiq moves quickly to his right and collects the ball. The on-field umpire does not agree with Mushfiq. Bangladesh opt for a review. Did the ball graze the bottom glove on its way to Mushfiq? I guess it may have brushed the bottom thumb as the zoomer comes in. Successful review for Bangladesh. Aslam has to depart for 20. 50/1 91.5 to Younis Khan, top ball from Taijul. Tossed up, pitched on middle, grips in the surface and turns away, Younis goes on the back foot and has a lazy push at it. The ball beats the outside edge and hits the off stump. Kayes applauds from behind the wicket. 339/3 132.1 to Misbah-ul-Haq, Taijul exults! Tossed up from round the stumps, Misbah hunts for a sweep and skews it in the air off a top edge. Rubel pouches it at deepish backward square leg, he was about 15 metres inside the boundary. 468/5 160.3 to Wahab Riaz, Taijul has his man now. Fourth wicket for him and Wahab departs for a duck. Tossed up on middle and off from round the stumps, Wahab has a nervy poke at it, the ball spins away past the bat to rattle the top of off. The crowd finds its voice again. 595/7 166.2 to Yasir Shah, given out lbw, Yasir wants a review. Did he manage an inside edge on that? This was quite full and angled in to strike Yasir on the knee-roll in front of middle. It would have crashed into middle and leg. There is no conclusive proof as to weather he had edged it before being rapped on the pad. The TV umpire has a close look at it and vindicates on-field umpire Nigel Llong's decision. Taijul has a five-wicket haul.. 617/9 168.4 to Zulfiqar Babar, Taijul ends the Pakistan innings. This was looped up on middle, he steps out, has a wild swipe at it and loses his balance. The ball rolls off the batsman's pad behind the wicket. Mahmudullah then deflects it onto the stumps off his pad. Yes, Mahmudullah has a stumping to his name. 628/10

71.5 to Azhar Ali, bowled'em. Hom shoots through the defence of Azhar. Quicker offbreak at 90ks, spins in, Azhar prods feebly with no feet movement, the ball sneaks through to crash into the middle stump. It gets uprooted. No hundred for Azhar. 277/2 111.3 to Mohammad Hafeez, taken at leg-slip. Sharp catch from Mahmudullah. This was a harmless delivery down leg, Hafeez seeks to help it away with a sweep. The ball pops off the glove, Mahmullah dives across to his left and snaps up a smart catch. End of a brilliant knock from Hafeez. 402/4

165.3 to Asad Shafiq, Shakib finally has some success. Shafiq shows his ace early, skips down the track. Shakib is wary of it as he shortens his length. Shafiq looks to flick it to leg side but ends up chipping a return catch off a leading edge. 617/8

88.3 to Mominul Haque, Junaid strikes! Pitched up and swings in, Mominul pushes without much footwork. The ball zips in, sneaks through the gate to rattle middle and off. The bowler exults. 345/2 115.5 to Mahmudullah, Mahmudullah has been give out lbw by umpire Martinesz. He goes for a referral straightaway. Fuller and on off, he takes a step forward and does not connect with the flick. Struck on the front pad below the knee-roll. No inside snick. Impact in line and that would have cannoned into off. The on-field call stays and Mahmuduulah has to depart. 463/4
32 | 1 | 125 | 1 | 3.90 | 114 | 8 | 2 | 0 | 0 | |
75.4 to Imrul Kayes, finally, finally, Pakistan find a way past this mammoth opening stand. Kayes holes out. Babar has a smile on his face, more out of relief rather than joy. Tossed up, Kayes charges down the track and mistimes the lofted stroke. Long-off runs across to his left and takes the sliced hit comfortably. 312/1

98.2 to Tamim Iqbal, Tamim has been stumped. They go to the TV umpire and he confirms it. Hafeez pats Tamim on the back. Misbah, Wahab are among the Pakistan players to congratulate Tamim. This was nicely looped up by Hafeez, he advances down the track, gets beaten in flight, this ball turns away. Beaten by spin as well. He turned back but did not drag his bat in. Tamim's bat was in the air by the time Sarfraz had whipped the bails off. So, one double-centurion takes out the other..... 399/3 116.5 to Mushfiqur Rahim, and another lbw. Mushfiq has shouldered arms and is given out by umpire Llong. He has a chat with Shakib but does not review the call. Hafeez is pleased. Pushed fuller on middle and spins in, Mushfiq shoulders arms and takes it on the thigh. It would have clipped the leg stump. 464/5
