Full commentary

Faseeh: "Shadab should have taken the responsibility and showed character. He bowed down under pressure. At least him trying would have shown his resilience " That's the prevailing view. Shadab said he was waiting to bowl to right-handers and when Ben Dunk was at the crease, he was hesitant to bowl. However, in the final over, Lahore had two right-handers batting, so the decision is still mystifying.

Rashid Khan is predictably player of the match. Sohail. He expresses satisfaction with his performance, insisting there's more to come. Said it doesn't matter whether he got the chance to bat late in the innings or higher up, he just wanted to fulfil his role. Some might say he did that, and then some.

Anyhow, that's it from us here. Take care, people, and see you tomorrow!

mohsin : "Rashid khan is the most deserving player to be nominated for the man of the match prize. in bowling his economy was 2.25 per over and in batting the most crucial over he faced with 300 strike rate."

Talat to David, 1 run

it's done! Lahore Qalandars have won the most spectacular contest! A total miscue from David but the top edge cleared the wicketkeeper, allowing Lahore to knock off that final run. That inquest will be unpleasant for IU, especially handing that final over to someone who hadn't bowled at all. They've thrown away the game, really, but Lahore will take it

Talat to Rashid Khan, 1 run

mistiming but he calls David across for one, which means Lahore are guaranteed at least a Super Over. One needed off one

Talat to Rashid Khan, 2 runs

Chipped into the onside and Rashid called - no DEMANDED - two straightaway. Two off two now

Paramdev : "Rashid has shown his batting abilities in BBL, yet teams keep on wasting Rashid khan the batsman"

Talat to Rashid Khan, FOUR runs

Another boundary! I honestly can't believe this. Touch of fortune about this, a thick edge that beats the keeper. The decision to give Hussain Talat the final over is going to be heavily scrutinised now, especially with Shadab having an over of his own up his sleeve

Talat to Rashid Khan, FOUR runs

once more! Similar delivery, and all Rashid needed to do was clear the infield on the offside. No one out in the deep around the sweeper region, and Lahore now need only eight off four

Talat to Rashid Khan, FOUR runs

slower ball from Talat, Rashid lay in wait and clobbered it over cover. It goes all the way for four!

Right, so Talat will bowl the final over

David continues to impress, though. Clears the front leg and smashes it over the top of the bowler's head into the sightscreen. Hasan is annoyed at ending his day this way, but with 16 still to win, it's Islamabad's game to lose

Hasan Ali to David, no run

pushed into the offside

Hasan Ali to Dunk, OUT

can't say that wasn't coming. Slower ball banged into the surface. Dunk launched that a mile into the air but never managed to get the distance on it he needed. Iftikhar underneath the ball takes a good catch, and Islamabad are almost home now

Ben Dunk c Iftikhar Ahmed b Hasan Ali 17 (18b 1x4 1x6) SR: 94.44
Hasan Ali to Dunk, no run

Lahore losing the plot here. Dunk nowhere near another one he tried to slog, while Hasan is holding is nerve expertly

Hasan Ali to Dunk, no run

he tried to smash that into the middle of next week. It was a whisker away from off stump, and Hasan throws his head back in frustration. Islamabad on the verge of clinching this, though

Hasan Ali to David, 1 run

opens up room on the offside and gets a single

Nida Umer: "Only LQ has the talent to make a match difficult out of nowhere. "

thick inside edge to short fine. Excellent over for Islamabad; the rate is now 11.50

Mohammad Wasim to David, 2 runs

sliced over the offside field. Three fielders converge on the ball but it lands perfectly beneath them. It was in the slot, in truth, and keeping it down to two is a good result for Islamabad

Mohammad Wasim to Dunk, 1 run

yorker length. Dunk never quite middled it, only getting a thick inside edge and they come across for a single

Mohammad Wasim to David, 1 run

had to wait for that one and could only nudge it to wide long-on. They need a boundary, Lahore

Mohammad Wasim to David, 2 runs

tried to heave that into the onside. The ball takes a juicy leading edge though and just clears the extra cover fielder into a gap, allowing Lahore to come back for two

Mohammad Wasim to David, no run

an ungainly heave from David, ends up being beaten instead

Yasir: "Going down to the wire this one, Shadab's over might decide the outcome."

Faheem to Dunk, no run

good comeback from Faheem. Nearly hit top of off, with Dunk's drive never really close to making connection. Even so, 10 off the over

Faheem to Dunk, SIX runs

what a lovely pick-up that was, and how sorely it was needed. In the slot, and Dunk flicks it over midwicket straight onto the advertising hoarding!. That brings the rate back down below 10, and keeps Lahore in contention
