touch short and outside off, goes over the off side inner ring, cut off by the sweeper to bring the match and series to an end
Zimbabwe vs South Africa, 3rd ODI at Harare, Aug 26 2007 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Great attempt by Zimbabwe who for much of the innings stayed ahead of the run chase. Wickets at the wrong time added to the pressure and in the end finished only 28 runs behind. A few catches and some fielding slips may have left it a lot closer.
The South African bowling attack does however have a lot of work to do before the start of the T20. Ntini seems to have lost all his form, but did come back well bowling his best few overs at the end of this match. Pollock his normal self while Morne Morkel showed signs of a bright future.
Thanks for staying with us and hopefully you will join us again in the near future.
full at the legs, stroked out to the on side and fittingly taibu will take the last ball
leg side, flicks, but off the pad to the on side
outside off, just short, flat bats that down the ground to mid-off
makes room again but this time drives straight at the deep mid-off
outside off, males room to the leg side and slashes that on the drive behind point
tries another little flick sweep over the keepers head, but instead of bat he collects it behind the head
and he gets it, his first 100, full, slightly leg side, dabs towards a deep mid-on, and the crowd errupts, Smith runs in from mid-off and gives taibu a weldone tap on the back, thats good to see
again he gets a very full ball that is stroked to the off
full, on line, defends to Ntini
digs out the full ball to the on side
stays on line, just short, tries a flick sweep, beaten
dug out to the on side
full on the legs, goes down the ground to long on
yorker again, just outside off, beaten, de Villiers gathers, Taibu comes, de Villiers is wide, but the little man may have been in anyway
full leg stump yorker dug out to the on side, not much more he could do with that
full on the legs, dugs out to the on side
touch short on the off, lofted across the line between deep wide midwicket and long on
well forward, pushes to the off, quick run taken
full and on line, stroked down the ground for his career best
