1.6 to MD Gunathilaka, bowled him! Gunathilaka tries to slog across the line at a good length ball on a wicket to wicket line. He just cleared his front foot and swung hard. He missed, Milne hit. That wasn't pretty at all from Gunathilaka. 11/1 5.3 to GSNFG Jayasuriya, caught at a deepish mid-off! Jayasuriya targeted the short straight boundary but mis-timed the loft, hitting the good length ball in the air towards Williamson, who back-pedaled and judged it perfectly. That came off the bottom of the bat, because Jayasuriya had to reach for it as it angled across him from over the wicket. 33/2

6.4 to LD Chandimal, caught at short third man! Chandimal clears his front foot and slogs across the line, the length is too full for that shot and the ball lobs off the top edge to Taylor, such a simple catch. 39/3 10.3 to TAM Siriwardana, now Siriwardana also falls to the slog, Sri Lanka are imploding spectacularly. Siriwardana swung across the line and mis-timed it so badly that the ball was falling just past the inner circle at wide long-on. Boult came racing in from the long on boundary and caught it on the move, did well to keep his balance. 66/5

9.4 to TM Dilshan, Dilshan's frenzied innings has come to a frenzied end. He tried to reverse slog the ball but top edged it just beyond the circle at short third man. McClenaghan back pedals and catches it. Quite poor from Dilshan today, so rash.. 63/4 11.4 to KDK Vithanage, Sri Lanka lose their sixth inside 12 overs, Vithanage aims to launch the ball over the straight boundary. The length isn't full enough and he ends up mis-timing it straight to Milne at long off. 70/6 15.2 to NLTC Perera, another one falls to the slog, Perera aims for the deep midwicket boundary but top edges the ball to long on, where Guptill settles under the catch. 98/7 15.6 to I Udana, caught at extra cover! Udana tries to go over the off side but ends up chipping it to Williamson, who moves to his right and takes the catch. It was the slower ball and he played far too early. Elliott has four wickets!. 103/8 |
