Well, if England needed to practice their pressure situations, they've just done so. Harmison kept his cool at the death, however, and Trinidad have been pipped in a cliffhanger. Three wickets for Andrew Flintoff, who recovered from an uncharacteristically wayward first over, although there is some concern about his fitness. "He's not too well at the moment, but I'm sure he won't be missing the bus on Saturday," says Kevin Pietersen.

Paul Collingwood produced an exceptional spell as well, but it was mighty close. More of that sort of action on Saturday, and this will all have been worthwhile. I'm Andrew Miller, join me again on Thursday when the Superstars take on Middlesex in the final warm-up fixture.

Harmison to Rampaul, 1 run, OUT

a wild swing, an edge down to third man, one easy run, but Shah collected cleanly, sent in the return, and England sneak home by one run!

Ravi Rampaul run out (†Prior) 2 (6m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

After a static start, this tournament is alive. And it's only a friendly! No ties in this competition. If the scores are level, we go to a "Super Over" ...

Harmison to Badree, 1 run

right up to the bat, squirted to point ... well, if only this ball was for a million dollars ...

Now we are cooking ...

Harmison to Badree, FOUR runs

what a shot! Shimmying across the stumps, eyes glued to the ball, and dinked fine, all the way to the boundary...

Harmison to Badree, no run

right up in the blockhole, and that's excellent bowling for the moment

Harmison to Rampaul, 1 run

edged away to third man, another run notched off

Harmison to Badree, 1 leg bye

big appeal but that's sliding down leg, and they scamper through

end of over 197 runs • 1 wicket

Andrew Flintoff 4-0-29-3
Flintoff to Rampaul, no run

nicked, low, and Prior does well with a tumbling stop. A good spell for Flintoff, but he's leaving the field again ...

Flintoff to Kelly, OUT

full and straight, from round the wicket, and that's plumb. An important wicket, but is Flintoff struggling a little bit? He doesn't look a million dollars right now ...

Richard Kelly lbw b Flintoff 8 (10m 7b 1x4 0x6) SR: 114.28
Flintoff to Kelly, no run

defended, looking for a deflection fine, but can't find the gap

Flintoff to Kelly, 2 runs

dropped! Ian Bell running in at long-on, and shells a sitter! Oh dear oh dear

Flintoff to Kelly, FOUR runs

launched! That was only a smidgeon short, but Kelly belted the cover off that one, and was never going to be stopped

Flintoff to Badree, 1 leg bye

full and straight, and somehow dug out

end of over 1811 runs • 1 wicket

Steve Harmison 3-1-22-1

Reminiscent of Misbah-ul-Haq in the Twenty20 final last year ... Here's Samuel Badree

Harmison to Ramdin, OUT

unnecessary, and that's a big blow. Ramdin walked across his stumps, tried to paddle over fine leg, and lobbed a simple chance to Shah inside the circle at fine leg

Denesh Ramdin c Shah b Harmison 37 (47m 36b 1x4 1x6) SR: 102.77

Flintoff is ready to come back onto the field

Harmison to Kelly, 1 run

swished out to midwicket, and another single

Harmison to Kelly, no run

that's the ball, outside off and climbing past the edge. A valuable dot

Harmison to Ramdin, 1 run

slower delivery, cut down to third man

Harmison to Ramdin, 2 runs

another fine shot, driven hard into space on the cover boundary

Harmison to Ramdin, SIX runs

well, that changes things! Stood up to be hit, Ramdin moved his front foot out of the way, and that clears the ropes at long-on!

Harmison to Ramdin, 1 wide

cheeky stuff from Ramdin, attempting a scoop shot. It doesn't come off, but he gets his reward

end of over 179 runs • 1 wicket

Flintoff has left the field. Should England be worried ...?

Flintoff to Ramdin, 1 run

another full toss, but at least it was straight. Picked up at midwicket, and there are three overs to go
