His first shot in anger, taking on Parkinson's legbreak, at 47mph, up above the eyeline, dipping on a good length, Stubbs is steady and that's a big blow for a batter who should have been ready to push on. 121/5 85b to JA Thompson, leading edge, straight back to Parkinson! 53b to LJ Evans, picks out deep backward square leg! Two in two sets for Spirit, but you fear it might be too late. Evans wasn't going to hold back, despite having just lost his partner. Went for the aggressive sweep but sent it straight into the breadbasket of Lawrence a few yards in from the rope. 104/2 79b to T Stubbs, miscued to backward point! Gets a bit of dip and grip, Stubbs has to reach a long way and closes the face fractionally. Big leading edge, well held by Dawson diving forwards. Spirit aren't letting go. 132/5 | ||||||||||
