make that 6 for Martin, full, just outside off, the left hander pushes out at it, gets the edge and a good catch from a divng watling
New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test at Napier, Jan 26 2012 - Ball by Ball Commentary
New Zealnd win by an innings and 301 runs, bowling Zimbabwe out twice in a day, who would have thought that at the start of play today.
New Zealand's biggest win in a Test match, and well deserved. For Zimbabwe a bit of a step backwards after making a good return to the test arena.
It is of course Zimbabwe's biggest defeat in test matches, following the loss of an innings and 294 in Harare in the 2005/06 season.
A 5'fer for Martin and does he deserve it
WHAT A CATCH, gets a short ball outside off, cuts, bit of a top edge, Brownlie leaps high at takes that one handed, great catch
great shot, full on the legs, clips that with timing over to the mid wicket rope
short ball, pulls, top edges just over the square leg
well forward on the off, defends to the bowler
huge appeasl for lbw as that angles into the pad, caught in the crease but still going down the leg
gets half forward, dabs to the off
defends to the off, Boult still coming round
off the pads going down leg, races to fine leg
Looks like New Zealand are taking the extra half an hour to complete the test
outside off, angles in, plays at that, Hot Spot shows a feather of a touch and the review from Zimbabwe is turned down
Review called for a caught behind
gets well acroos and well forward to cover for the swing and angle, good shot that
left alone outside off
left alone, good shape as that comes back on the swing and off the pitch
And as always the batsman is in pain, and the rest are laughing, it does bring a tear to your eye
. The magic water always seems to work, back on his feet, but no quick runs now please
shape that time, angled in, cuts back and takes him high on the protector, puts him on his back
starts just otside off, holds its line as the batsman leaves
This should be the lst over of the day, and will be taken by Chris Martin
left alone, angled in, but started too wide outside off
left alone outside the off, again too wide to play at
left alone as that stays wide of the off
angled in again, but as he has been most of this innings, gets back and nicely into line
round the wicket, angled into the defensive right hander
