Alan Richardson has signed a two-year deal with Middlesex. Richardson, 29, leaves the county champions Warwickshire for Lord`s.
In seven Championship matches for Warwickshire last year, the seamer Richardson only picked up six wickets at an average of 88, and his five wickets in the one-day league cost 53 apiece.
"We are delighted to have beaten off stiff opposition to capture Alan," John Emburey, the Middlesex coach, told Sky Sports.
"The players have spoken highly of him, and this was a large part of our decision to strengthen our bowling attack. We are hoping he will make an immediate impact."
