Bangladesh v England

At Dhaka, November 12, 2003 (day/night)

15-Apr-2004
At Dhaka, November 12, 2003 (day/night). England won by seven wickets. Toss: Bangladesh.
Bangladesh's best showing of the series ended in familiar fashion, as Flintoff wrapped up a seven-wicket win for the third match in succession. Once again the contest was an unequal one, but England were at least forced to work for their wickets after they had lost the toss for the eighth time out of eight on tour. The talking point of the innings came in the 34th over, when Bangladesh's besieged captain, Khaled Mahmud, was given out by the third umpire after he and his batting partner, Mushfiqur Rahman, had dived for the same end of the pitch. The decision was greeted with glee by an otherwise subdued crowd. England's target of 183 seemed a long way off when Solanki fell to complete a series tally of 11 runs, but Trescothick eased to 50 before Flintoff strode out to the middle with malice aforethought. He duly crashed a 39-ball half-century, and completed the match and his milestone with successive sixes.
