The Canadian Cricket Association have named a 40-man squad for next year's World Cup.
The list contains a few surprises, not least two Canadian-born overseas players who sources indicate have not lived in Canada since they were children. Geoff Barnett plays first-class cricket in New Zealand and Stu Heaney for Australian Capital Territory. But there was no room for Zubin Surkari after a disappointing ICC Trophy in Ireland.
