Dalrymple agrees new deal with Middlesex

Jamie Dalrymple has agreed a long-term extension to his contract with Middlesex.

There had been reports recently that Dalrymple was unhappy with the contract he had been offered, but he said that all issues had been resolved and that "we have an outstanding squad who have every opportunity to challenge for honours."

"It's been a little frustrating because James took a little while to sign, but he's happy at Middlesex," said county coach John Emburey told the BBC. "In all the discussions I've had with James about where we are looking to go, the talk was all positive."

Dalrymple will spend the winter at the Academy along with team-mates Owais Shah and Ed Joyce.
