Stephen Fleming, the New Zealand captain, has sent cautionary words to Michael Vaughan ahead of the Ashes. Fleming said that England need to get off to a good start in the series if they want to regain the Ashes. England last won the Ashes in 1986-87 in Australia.
Fleming, who had a horrid series against Australia losing 2-0, was quoted in The Australian as saying, "They [England] are going to have to play extremely well. It's about playing the game under the least amount of pressure and you'll win it. England always play under a huge amount of pressure (with) the media, it gets built up. Australia are used to dealing with it and they just roll on, so that's going to be the key aspect - how well England start."
"If they start well, then they're in with a sniff, but if Australia start well and get them down, then all of a sudden they've got the press, the public and basically everyone who watches England cricket on their back." The Ashes is slated to commence in July at Lords.
