114.3 Swann to Kohli, FOUR, touch short, not that wide but Kohli makes room and absolutely thrashes the ball in front of square, another punishing stroke on a difficult pitch and that takes Kohli to a well-deserved third Test ton, celebrated with a leap into the air and a pump of the fist
116.1 Swann to Kohli, OUT, around the wicket, leg stump, caught on the pad andgiven out first ball after drinks and, after a partnership of 198, England finally strike and my word will they be relieved. I think Kholi had just misread the line, struck in line with leg stump and it looked a very good shout
V Kohli lbw b Swann 103 (295b 11x4 0x6) SR: 34.91
123.6 Anderson to Jadeja, OUT, this shapes in, again caught on the pad and this time given out that nipped back a long way from Anderson and wrapped the knee roll in line with middle and leg, the finger went up pretty quickly. Batsman was caught on the crease
RA Jadeja lbw b Anderson 12 (31b 2x4 0x6) SR: 38.70
129.1 Anderson to Dhoni, OUT, goodness me, played up on the off side, direct hit at mid off, is this out? Dhoni is very unsure, it is so close, a frame in it on the replay, I don't think Dhoni is over the line when the bails come off and indeed he's not back and Dhoni is run out on 99! Sharp work from Cook running in from mid off and throwing down the stumps, beaten Dhoni's slide into the crease by a fraction of an inch. So England strike again before the close and now have the tail to bowl out, still with a slender lead...
MS Dhoni run out 99 (246b 8x4 1x6) SR: 40.24
130.1 Swann to Chawla, OUT, little bit of turn past the outside edge and back goes the off stump and that completes a fine final hour for England with a fourth wicket. It was a length ball, tossed up, Chawla came forward and got beaten on the outside edge and the ball clipped the outside of the off stump, lovely bowling
PP Chawla b Swann 1 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50.00
Stumps drawn five balls early with that final wicket for Swann, the fourth for England in the session and that is a great effort after a marathon stand of 198 between Dhoni and Kohli that lasted almost a day. But after drinks in the final session England broke through with Swann, then Anderson, then the run out and polished it off with another Swann victim. India had been battling there way back into the game but their momentum has been really checked by these late wickets.
