Inquiry panel formed to solve ICA dispute

Islamabad, Jan 26: The two-member Inquiry Committee on Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) has initiated recording statements of the two groups on recommendation of chairman PCB, it was officially learnt.

Brig. Haroon Pasha and Brig. Shami have been asked to prepare their recommendations with the aim to resolve the disputes within ICA.

Brig. Shami said that the process has started but there was no time frame. "To do justice, it takes time," he said.

It may be added here that ICA elected Zahid Mehmood, member of ICA ad hoc committee, as its president last month and Jawadul Hassan as its secretary.

The chairman PCB said there were complaint being received over ad hoc member getting elected as president. He said that Shakil Shaikh, also an ICA ad hoc Committee member, suggested that a neutral committee should be constituted to resolve the dispute. It may be added here that Shakil is alsomember of the club scrutiny committee headed by Brig. Shami for this region.
