Kanpur to host two Duleep Trophy matches

Two of Central Zone's four matches in the Duleep Trophy during the 2000-2001 season will be played at home and two away. Kanpur will host both the home matches against West Zone and East Zone. The game against West Zone will be held from January 4 to 7 and the match against East Zone will be played from January 11 to 14.

Kanpur will also host the DB Deodhar Trophy limited overs inter-zonal tournament from December 15 to 20. East Zone will play South Zone in the opening game. The winners take on North Zone on December 17 while the other semifinal between Central Zone and West Zone will be played on December 18. The final is slated for December 20.

Kanpur will also host the Ranji Trophy one day league tournament between the five Central Zone teams. Two matches will be played every day and the competition will be held from December 6 to 11.

The Central Zone Ranji Trophy league will be played from October 30 to December 2.

Ranji Trophy: October 30 to November 2: UP vs Rajasthan (Jaipur) and MP vs Railways (Delhi). November 6 to 9: MP vs Rajasthan (Bhilai), Vidarbha vs Railways (Delhi). November 13 to 16: UP vs Vidarbha (Kanpur), Rajasthan vs Railways (Jaipur). November 22 to 25: UP vs Railways (Kanpur), MP vs Vidarbha (Indore). November 29 to December 2: UP vs MP (Kanpur), Rajasthan vs Vidarbha (Nagpur).

Ranji Trophy one day (all matches at Kanpur): December 6: MP Vs UP and Railways vs Rajasthan. December 7: MP vs Rajasthan and Vidarbha vs Railways. December 8: UP vs Railways and Vidarbha vs Rajasthan. December 10: UP vs Vidarbha and MP vs Railways. December 11: UP vs Rajasthan and MP vs Vidarbha.

Under-22: December 4 to 6: MP vs Vidarbha (Nagpur) and UP vs Rajasthan (Jaipur). December 10 to 12: Rajasthan vs Vidarbha (Nagpur) and Railways vs MP (Bhilai). December 16 to 18: MP vs Rajasthan (Indore) and UP vs Railways (New Delhi). December 22 to 24: UP vs MP (Kanpur) and Vidarbha vs Railways (New Delhi). December 28 to 30: UP vs Vidarbha (Kanpur) and Railways vs Rajasthan (Jaipur).

Cooch Behar Under-19: October 22 to 24: UP vs Railways (Kanpur), Rajasthan vs Vidarbha (Jaipur). October 29 to 31: MP vs Vidarbha (Nagpur) and Railways vs Rajasthan (New Delhi). November 4 to 6: UP vs Vidarbha (Kanpur) and MP vs Rajasthan (Jaipur). November 11 to 13: Vidarbha vs Railways (New Delhi) and UP vs MP (Bhopal). November 18 to 20: UP vs Rajasthan (Kanpur) and MP vs Railways (Indore).
