"David has made a lasting contribution to cricket in Kent and there are many clubs, schools, players and coaches who have benefited from David's enthusiasm for the development of the game," said Chris Swadkin, the chairman of Kent Cricket Board.
"In particular David has been instrumental in the growth and unparalleled success of women's and girls' cricket in Kent. Kent Cricket Board wishes David well as he looks forward to some exciting options for his continued involvement in the development of sport."
