Justin Langer will add depth and experience to Western Australia for their Pura Cup match against an inexperienced South Australia at Perth on Friday. Langer will captain the Warriors, who have also regained Brett Dorey and Aaron Heal.
Shaun Marsh has made way for Langer at the top of the order and Dorey will replace Darren Wates. Brad Hogg, who is with the Australia one-day squad, was unavailable for selection, allowing the in-form Heal to return to the line-up.
South Australia were forced to choose several new faces after injuries to Darren Lehmann and Cameron Borgas. Jason Borgas, the brother of Cameron, could make his first-class debut, while Tom Plant and Ben Cameron have the chance to play their first Pura Cup matches of the season.
Western Australia squad Justin Langer (capt), Chris Rogers, Clint Heron, Marcus North, Adam Voges, Luke Pomersbach, David Bandy, Luke Ronchi (wk), Aaron Heal, Brett Dorey, Steve Magoffin, Ben Edmondson.
South Australia squad Matthew Elliott (capt), Tom Plant, Mark Cosgrove, Daniel Harris, Jason Borgas, Ben Cameron, Shane Deitz (wk), Ryan Harris, Jason Gillespie, Dan Cullen, Paul Rofe, Cullen Bailey, Shaun Tait.
