Amit Mishra, the Delhi Daredevils legspinner, has been reprimanded by the match referee for directing Victoria batsman Rob Quiney towards the pavilion after dismissing him in the Champions League Twenty20 match on Friday.

The incident took place in the eighth over of Victoria's chase after Delhi had been kept to a paltry 98 for 8 in their 20 overs at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Mishra pleaded guilty to breaching Level 1.6 of the Champions League Twenty20 Code of Behaviour, which relates to "pointing or gesturing towards the pavilion in an aggressive manner by a bowler or other member of the fielding side upon the dismissal of a batsman".

The match referee Roshan Mahanama cautioned the bowler at a hearing held after the game.
