The Mozambican team scored 252 runs in their 50 overs and soon had the Sierra Leone team on the back foot as they stumbled to 4 / 60. E. Kamara and M. Kallon tried to steady the ship but, with their departure the Sierra Leone team could only muster 163 all out.
Mozambique won by 89 runs which will see them progress to Division 1 in Tanzania in August 2006.
In the play-offs between Malawi and Ghana, the Ghanians posted a target of 266 for the Malawians. The Malawi team was totally annihilated by the bowling of P. Ananya as he recorded his best figures of 7/ 25 in 9.4.
