Notts finances in rude health

Nottinghamshire have announced healthy financial results with the continuing popularity of cricket at Trent Bridge the key driver in their pre-tax surplus of £279,160 for the year to September 30, 2014.

Trent Bridge hosted a Test and one-day international against India, with four days sold out, and attracted over 60,000 people for the T20 Blast, helping to bring in £11,159,732 in turnover.

"2014 was a very good year for us financially," Notts chairman Peter Wright said. "Allowing us to continue to combine our on-field successes with sustained profitability and develop our ties with the local community.

"To have hosted four days of sold-out international cricket is testament to the continued hard work done by every member of staff to ensure that our customer experience remains at the core of our business.

"This international success was lifted further by attracting higher attendances for domestic cricket, specifically in the NatWest T20 Blast, where we had the highest attendance of any club outside of London."

Trent Bridge was awarded a healthy package of international cricket from 2017 but missed out on an Ashes Test in 2019.
