The Pakistan Cricket Board has banned three officials for one year from taking part in Haripur District Cricket Association activities on the charge of misconduct. Qamar Farid, Arohadur Rahman and Ishraq Ahmad were found guilty of "rowdyism and prompting others to boycott the process of scruinty" that was held in that district on April 9, 2003.
The three officials, who misbehaved with the PCB Scrutiny Committee, have been banned from representing Haripur District in PCB organized tournaments/leagues and debarred from taking part in elections that were held there on April 19, 2003.
Mr Muhammad Usman was elected President of Haripur District Cricket Association whereas Mr Ikramullah was elected Secretary and Shoukat Aziz as Treasuer.
Elections in three other districts were also held between April 19 and 22.
Mr Fateh-ul-Bari was elected the President of Manshera District Cricket Association while Zahid Saeed was elected Secretary and Mohammad Ashraf Treasurer, Mr Malik Zaheer Ahmad was elected President of Attock District Cricket Association with Mirza Shahid Nadeem Baig as Secretary and Javaid Khan as Treasuer. Mr Qasim Abbasi was elected as President of Abbottabad District Cricket Association while Al Haj Muhammad Zia Tanoli was elected Secretary and Amjad Khan Jadon as Treasuer.
