Rain forces abandonment of Surrey's CricInfo Championship opener

Surrey's hopes of a winning start to the defence of their CricInfo Championship title have been dashed by the weather. Their Division One match against Kent at The Oval was called off on the fourth morning without any further play. Each side is awarded four points for the drawn game, so Surrey take 11 points and Kent 12 in total.
