St. Joseph's College were in a commanding position after having dismissed St. Benedict's College for 101 runs on the opening day of their inter school cricket encounter which began at Darley Road yesterday.

Despite a superb knock of 98 by Sahan Wijesekera, Isipatana were dismissed for 188 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their inter school cricket encounter against D. S.Senanayake played at Wijerama Mawatha yesterday.

Sri Lanka 'A' poolist T. M. Dilshan hammered a splendid knock of 194 runs as Sebastianites SC compiled 331 for 3 in their first innings on the opening day of their Premier championship cricket tournament match against Singha SC played at De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa yesterday.

Half centuries by P.Perera (82) and N.Fernando (56) helped St.Sebastian's College declare their first innings at 311 for 6 on the opening day of their inter school cricket encounter against St.Peter's College worked off at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
