Seven Test players in Sri Lanka 'A' pool
Seven Test players were named in the 27-member Sri Lanka 'A' pool by
the national selection committee when they met recently.
A Cricket Board press release states the composition of the pool will
be reviewed after the completion of the Premier championships which
is currently in progress.
The Sri Lanka 'A' pool:
Mahela Jayawardene, Russel Arnold, Ruwan Kalpage, Mario Villavarayen,
Ravindra Pushpakumara, Sajeeva de Silva, Shantha Kalawitigoda, Kumar
Sangakkara, Prasanna Jayawardene, Manoj Mendis, Upekha Fernando,
Indika de Saram, Naweed Nawaz, Malinga Bandara, Malintha Warnapura,
Bathiya Perera, Dinuka Hettiaratchi, Arshad Junaid, Chamara Soysa,
Sajith Fernando, Jeewantha Kulatunga, Damitha Hunukumbura,

St. Sebastian's beat De Mazenod by four wickets in their inter-school
cricket match concluded at Moratuwa yesterday.

De Mazenod 148 and 144 (Shihan Dantharayan 34, Indika Ruwanpura 43,
S. de Silva 2 for 13, Malsha Fernando 2 for 22, Dilip Fernando 3 for
23).
St. Sebastian's 151 for 9 decl. and 143 for 6 (Primesh Peiris 47,

Royal - under 13 div. two champs
Royal College, Colombo clinched the Horlicks Trophy under 13 division
Two cricket title by beating St. Joseph's College, Colombo by 19 runs
on the first innings in the final played at S. Thomas' College Junior
grounds, Mount Lavinia recently.

A fine spall of bowling by St. Anthony's skipper Samith Lasantha who
captured 7 wickets for 49 and a superb half century from J.
Sivanesanrajan (80) were the highlights of the Inter-school Cricket
match between St. Anthony's College Wattala and Sri Jayawardenapura,
Maha Vidyalaya ended in a draw at Athurugiriya Tuesday.

St. Anthony's College 239 all out (J. Sivanesanrajan 80, Ranil Cooray
49, R. Ariveinthan 35, Samith Lasantha 24, Shaminda Perera 22, Lakmal
4 for 35) and 203 for 9 at close (Ruwan Perera 46, R. Ariveinthan 40,

Sri Jayawardenapura MV 207 all out (Varuna Silva 72, Samith Lasantha
