Tasmanian Under-19s team announced

The Tasmanian Cricket Association is pleased to announce the State Under 19 Team to participate in the National Championships in Canberra from the 11th-22nd December 2002.

The Captain of the team is Luke Butterworth from the Glenorchy Cricket Club, with joint Vice-Captains being Tim Paine from University and Dane Anderson from Westbury.
Ali de Winter and Michael Farrell will coach the team.
Tasmania, who finished 3rd at last years Championships will compete in Pool A along with Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.
Tasmania will play two (2) day matches against these States and for the first time will play One-Day matches incorporating ING Cup rules against the four (4) teams in Pool B.
This format will enable each team competing at the championships to have the opportunity to play each other once.
