Sandeep Singh and Madhusudhan Acharya snapped up six wickets between them as Vidharbha bundled out Goa for just 149 and chased the 54 required for victory to register their first win of the season at Nagpur. Goa's inability to score more than 150 in both innings will be an uninspiring aspect for their captan and coach, and they will need to pick themselves up before their next match against Tripura.
On a dull, attritional day, Jammu & Kashmir grafted for 207 runs in 90 overs to take a 111-run lead over Kerala at Jammu. Kavaljit Singh and Dhruv Mahajan, the J&K captain, scored painstaking centuries as all of ten bowlers were used by Sreekumar Nair, Kerala's captain. A draw seems the likely result, with a solitary day left and neither side showing any intent to go for victory.
Jharkhand 250 and 81 for 2 (Vardhan 37*) trail Rajasthan 587 (Jadeja 161, Khoda 146) by 256 runs

Jharkhand, forced to follow on after mustering just 250 in their first innings, slipped to 81 for 2 at stumps on day three of the Plate Group match against Rajasthan at Jaipur, with Pankaj Singh, the medium pacer, snaring both wickets. Facing the daunting task of trying to overcome Rajasthan's imposing 587, Jharkhand's innings never quite took off, with Shamsher Singh's medium-pace accounting for four victims. It was a dismal middle-order collapse, and it took a 53-run stand for the final wicket between Shahbaz Nadeem and Shankar Rao to take Jharkhand to 250.
Madhya Pradesh, 57 for 0 at the close of play at Indore, trailed by 86 after Chandan Rawat's maiden first-class century took Assam to 358. Despite some good bowling by legspinners Yogesh Golwalkar and Narendra Hirwani, the veteran, who shared seven wickets between them, Rawat's hundred set up Assam for a substantial first innings lead. MP's openers look set at the crease, but a few quick wickets in the morning session on the final day could open up this game for Assam.
