Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Corey Collymore have both passed fitness tests in Antigua and are available for selection to the final 11 for the first Test against India today.
Chanderpaul, who suffered a small tear to his left hamstring during the third one-dayer, was forced to miss the final two ODIs but remained with the squad to receive treatment. Collymore twisted his right ankle in the final ODI in Trinidad and did not bowl in the game. However, both players underwent lengthy practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday to confirm their fitness and availability.
Meanwhile, Ramnaresh Sarwan has been confirmed as West Indies' vice-captain. Sarwan, 25, batted brilliantly in the recent one-day series - where he gained the Man-of-the-Series award - and will act as Brian Lara's number two for their Test series against India.
West Indies squad: Brian Lara (capt), Christopher Gayle, Daren Ganga, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Runako Morton, Dwayne Bravo, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Ian Bradshaw, Jerome Taylor, Corey Collymore, Fidel Edwards, Dave Mohammed
