The prone hold or plank position is a well known exercise to improve and build core strength. If performed correctly there are some definite benefits not only to the core but also shoulder and scapula stability. As a cricketer it is important that you are able to perform all "plank" based exercises. It is fairly easy and could be done almost anywhere and at any time. Remember that we look stability during movement while in the plank position.
